On a hot summer night six years before, Brock August showed Sarah Tate a passion that would nearly destroy her. But fear and innocence drove her from his arms and into a marriage she neither wanted, nor found happiness in. Now Sarah is free and she wants that night she lost. One night, a few stolen hours to know the heat and passion of the man she never forgot. But Brock has other plans in mind. A secret, a passion, a desire his brothers share. A desire Sarah will be unable to deny. That is, if she can escape the dark designs of the stalker intent on destroying the August men.
What I thought:
I have mixed feelings so far about this series. For the most part I really do like it, but small things had me cringing or questioning what was going on.
I was glad to find out a bit of the history with the boys, their dark past, and although I think it is a weird way they connect (they all share their women, but only with the brothers), I was a little sad to realize that they can only be close to each other through their women. It is a bit heartbreaking, to realize that they are shattered in such a way.
Cade's rejection, in the beginning of the book, of Brock bringing Sarah to the house was a little puzzling. Marly is upset that the brothers might find their own love. She loves Cade, but doesn't the twins to find someone who can help heal their pain. It was a moment when I wanted to strangle the woman, but luckily, it works out in its own way.
I am, however, really intrigued with the suspense plot of this series and will continue on with the story.
Hey guys! I'm a big fan of reading and writing. I have been writing my own little reviews on shelfari and decided to try my own blog. I love all kinds of books, mystery, paranormal romance, urban fantasy, young adult, erotica, historical romances and just any romance book.
I own a Kindle and love browsing Amazon for free ebooks as well as getting my favorite authors and series on my portable library system. This has changed the way I read. I have gone to a couple books a month to a couple books a week.
