Released: December 8, 2009
Publisher: Delacorte

Some Angels are Destined to Fall

There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.

Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.

Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce–and goes out of his way to make that very clear–she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . . even if it kills her.

What I thought:

There was just something about this novel that just hooked me and drew me in. I could hardly put it down to eat or sleep! What I liked most is that Luce didn't have a fairytale childhood. She wasn't perfect, she was a teen. She battled her emotions, not wanting her parents to be afraid of her but wanted them to just want her.

This had a very great story, I didn't see most of it coming, which I love about a book if I don't guess every little thing before it happens. I am excited to pick up the second book and see where things go in this series.

I gave it 4 stars!
