Blog Hop/Friday Follow (4)

 Book Blogger Hop
In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word!  This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books!  It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs to read!

What is the thing you like most about reading book blogs? Is it the reviews, author guest posts, articles, giveaways, or something else entirely?

I love reading about books I want to read, never heard before or seeing what someone else thought of a book I have read.  I love learning about new authors I've never read and of course I love giveaways.  I am a very avid reader and books is what I'm addicted to.

Today's questions:

Do you have an under-noticed author that you think we should all know about?
I have ran across an indie author that I just love.  Her name is Edie Ramer and she had asked me to review her books for her.  I read Cattitude and just loved it.  The humor was fantastic and it had a light paranormal twist to it to make it fun.  Couple days ago she gave me her new book to review, Dead People, which is the first book in the Haunted Hearts series.  I think her books are very well written and the humor in them is just great, but she also has the ability to write such great serious scenes when needed that I think she should be on everyone's list to read!

List of books:

 It’s all in the Cattitude . . .

After Belle the cat switches bodies with a psychic on the run from a murderer, she wants her perfect cat body back instead of this furless human one. But she doesn’t count on falling in love with her former owner. Or that a CEO and a beauty queen want to use up her nine lives. Now is her chance to prove anything a human can do, a cat can do better.
“Cattitude is a magical tale that you won’t soon forget. Edie Ramer has a writing voice that charms, and she pulls the reader right into Belle’s amazing world.”Cynthia Eden, best-selling author of Deadly Fear, I’ll be Slaying You, and Eternal Hunter.

 Lesbian ghosts!
Haunted house!
Adultery!
Murder!
THE SEVENTH DIMENSION, a short story originally published in the Fourth Woman Sleuth Anthology, has it all. And you can get this free by signing up for Edie's newsletter!

When Cassie Taylor talks, ghosts listen. She wants to heal their souls so they can leave earth. Brooding songwriter Luke Rivers wants to give his recently found daughter a normal home, but he discovers his new house in small town Wisconsin is haunted by a ghost with an attitude. His ghost whisperer has an attitude too—even before someone tries to kill her.

He wants conventional; she wants acceptance. No wonder she thinks men are hard and dead people are easy.

What author do you think I should know about?

Aimee, this is so sweet and wonderful! Thank you!

You've probably heard of Cynthia Eden already. I read her latest this week, Eternal Flame, and it's a wild ride. Her writing is completely different from mine, but I love the differences.

Edie, you are most welcome!

I have and I really need to get my hands on some of her books! Eternal Flame looks fantastic. Maybe after the holidays I can afford new books.

It just hit me. Seeing what someone else thought about the same book is another reason I check out blogs. Sometimes I agree with another blogger and sometimes I don't. Other times a blogger will introduce me to a book I never heard of, which is great.

And I love your blog header.

I like reading blogs to discover new books and authors. I like reading reviews, and of course the chance to win a book is a big bonus. I don't have much reading time to spend on new authors, as I keep collecting more and more favourites and it takes a lot of time to keep up with all their new books. Sometimes I think the established authors are forgotten for the hype of a new really good one. But I am a very faithfull reader, if you have cauhgt my admiration, you will keep it for the next -ty years.

I like knowing what other people think about books as well. There have been a few books I've considered reading but then didn't because of what other bloggers said and why the story didn't work for them. I trusted their judgment and decided to skip the book, and it was usually after seeing 2 or 3 similar opinions as well.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm a follower of yours now! Have a GREAT weekend!
