Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead

Released: December 7, 2010
Publisher: Razorbill
Rated: YA

Rose Hathaway doesn’t like feeling caged, but jail will do that to you. What she really resents is that she didn’t do it—she didn’t kill Queen Tatiana. But tell that to the throngs of Moroi and Dhampir—half vampires like her—gathered for the funeral…and calling for her blood!

Last Sacrifice is the final novel in Richelle Mead’s epic vampire series…and she’s saved the best for last. Murder…love…jealousy—it all plays out in this last chapter as Lissa, Rose’s best friend, faces foes who don’t want to see her ascend the Royal Throne. When Rose is rescued from confinement by her one true love, Dimitri, time is of the essence. She must prove her innocence and save her friend, even if it means having to make the ultimate sacrifice.

What I thought:

I'm sad that this series has come to an end. But what an ending! Rose has some pretty crazy obstacles in her way and it has made for a very enjoyable, thrilling ride to the very end. Masterfully done! It was impossible to put down until I read every last word. I hate to say goodbye to this series, but I hope to see some familiar faces in the spin off series. And I look forward to seeing what else Richelle Mead comes up with to entertain us with.

I gave it 5 stars!

l haven't even started this series yet! Hope to read them all next year. At least now l won't have to wait for the next book to come out if that's all of them =)

I loved this book so much... Seriously, we need to make a spoiler thread somewhere where everyone can hash out their thoughts about it and everything... These spoiler-free reviews just aren't doing it for me! ;) I wanna know if people are happy with who Rose ended up choosing, who they think is going to narrate the spin-off and everything!
;)

I have a very good idea of who will narrate the next book. And I am happy with who she ended up with, because I wanted the other one all for myself ;)

Weren't you taken aback by his anger at the end though? I totally was... I never would have expected that from him at all.

As for the narrator of the next book... I think it is going to be the illegitimate child- what do you think?

I do as well. I hope she and the guy Rose didn't pick get together. I thought he went off the handle a bit, but it fits his personality though, and I hope he works out some of the kinks that keep him from reaching his full potential.

All reviews are spoiler free unless otherwise stated. This is an award free zone. Thanks for thinking of me! But I don't have time to pass on the awards.
