Wendy thought she finally understood who she was and what she wanted, but everything changes when the rival Vittra come after her.
She's caught between two worlds, torn between love and duty, and she must decide what life she is going to lead.
What I thought:
I liked this much better than the first. The story, for me, really took off with this one. I liked the premise and it is intriguing. I liked the growth of Wendy and how she starts to finally stand up for herself in the role of princess. We get to see more of Matt (which I loved, I don't know why, but I love the protective older brother characters) and we finally learn more about the Vittra, Wendy's supposed enemy. The only thing I'm not terribly sure about is the love triangle turning into a love square.
I like the writing style of Amanda Hocking. It was an easy read and I found that it flowed very well. I can't wait to get my hands on the final book in this adventure. It should be very exciting to see how this all comes to an end.
