What I thought:
Generally, I liked this. But it was really hard for me to get through. Harrison spent so much of the book world building that I think it took away from the characters and the story. But it was good enough that I want to check out the second book, as I've heard from several people that this the typical first book for a series, the next is much better.
I'm not sure what to make of Trent, but I'm excited to see him in the next book, if he shows up, and see what all that stuff was about. Lots of twists and turns that kept it entertaining.
