Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison

Rated: Adult

All the creatures of the night gather in "the Hollows" of Cincinnati, to hide, to prowl, to party ... and to feed.

Vampires rule the darkness in a predator-eat-predator world rife with dangers beyond imagining -- and it’s Rachel Morgan's job to keep that world civilized.

A bounty hunter and witch with serious sex appeal and an attitude, she'll bring 'em back alive, dead ... or undead.

What I thought:

Generally, I liked this. But it was really hard for me to get through. Harrison spent so much of the book world building that I think it took away from the characters and the story. But it was good enough that I want to check out the second book, as I've heard from several people that this the typical first book for a series, the next is much better.

I'm not sure what to make of Trent, but I'm excited to see him in the next book, if he shows up, and see what all that stuff was about. Lots of twists and turns that kept it entertaining.

I know what your saying, but I can honestly say it gets better. I read the first book and enjoyed it, but I found from the second, third and on it was amazing! You should give the next books a try as well. Jenks grows to be the best secondary character ever. (IMO) hehe!

Great review! Thanks:)
