Book Mourning: does this happen to you?
When you finish an amazing book, do you find yourself at a loss to pick up another one? What was the last book that left you feeling so bewildered? & what did you do to overcome it?
It has happened to me a few times. Most recently after reading Anna and the French Kiss. Usually when this happens to me I try to pick something up that is almost the opposite. If it was a sad book I pick up a happy one, a paranormal book a contemporary book and so on. It helps not only to keep me from getting stuck but to keep from getting burnt out on a genre. I will sit and compare books if I read one almost like it after and it can ruin a book I would normally love.
