A sophisticated, layered, and heartachingly beautiful story about the power of family and friends, the choices we all make—and the ultimate choice Mia commands. This book will bring tears to your eyes at one point and laughter at another.
What I thought:
This is probably one of the most emotional books I have ever read. I knew what I was getting into, when I read the book description, but I wasn't excepting an emotional masterpiece. But it was. I'm not going to lie, it was hard to read, emotionally speaking. I was in tears several times.
I loved the premise, even as depressing and sad as it was. Brilliant story. Gayle Forman's take on what happens when one is in a coma was just astounding. This was written really well. It alternated scenes, from current to flash backs. I get kind of wary of these, since most of the times, I don't like the flash back scenes when they break up the flow. Everything was related, everything flowed and I found myself lost in the moment.
This may have been one of the most emotional books I have read, but also one of the best. This is definitely worth reading and definitely worth bumping up your TBR list. Amazing. Truly.
