Q. Let's step away from besties...What is the worst book that you've ever read and actually finished?
Worst book? Easy. Wuthering Heights. Hated this book. Took me 5 months to finish. I don't even know why I finished it, it might have been because it was supposed to be the most romantic book ever written. Well, I had to disagree. I thought it was a book about two idiotic children who should have just grown up. But that is just my opinion. I know lots of people out there (maybe even some of you) loved it. But this didn't call to me. I do believe in that saying though, this is one of those books that has no middle ground. Either you love it or you hate it. I hated it. And finished it. Feels like a badge of honor, you know? Like a battle wound, to say I went there, hated AND I finished it!
Be sure you leave your blog link in the comments, I'll follow back!

Lol I *love* that you picked wuthering heights, I genuinely do. I read this too, and whilst I didn't have such an adverse reaction to it, I was very confused. I still don't understand what actually happens in it.

Old follower stopping by and returning your visit. I actually liked this book, but can totally see why you had problems.
The Scarf Princess
Someone needs to invent a 'How-to decipher old classics such as Wuthering Heights'. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm a new follower!
I love Wuthering Heights myself, though I can agree that if someone had told Cathy and Heathcliff to grow up, it might have saved a lot of trouble! ;)
Lol Nice choice! I haven't read Wuthering Heights yet because all those who have keep telling me not to bother. :P Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm returning the follow. :)
Alyssa @ Reader's Refuge
I've actually never read Wuthering Heights before and kind of feel like a dummy now haha... You know which classic I couldn't stand? Emma by Jane Austen! This was a BIG let-down for me because 1.) I love Jane Austen, and 2.) I love the movie with Gwyneth Paltrow... but the book? Ugh, it sucked lol.
Feel free to check out my FF for this week at the link below!

Never read and glad I didn't! It just was never my cup pf tea and I'm so glad it was never required reading for me in school. I was able to avoid this one! New follower!
Old follower returning the visit! I hear you about Wuthering Heights. I fond some good points to it, but it's so mind-crunchingly bleak, it's hard to trudge through.
Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blgog! New follower here. :)
I haven't actually read Wuthering Heights. *Gasp!* I know! I'll probably read it soon (in college). I'm bothered by the fact that so many YA characters seem to love this book. Not just Bella from Twilight. I've seen it mentioned in other YA books. I wonder what they see in it.
I haven't read that one either. I don't get into romance so much, so I probably wouldn't like it anyways. Thanks for following, I'm returning the follow. Have a great weekend!

Hi,
I'm a new follower. I'm currently trying to read this, I haven't got past chapter 1. It's really not going well.

Hey,
New follower here! I've pick this book up a couple of times but could never get into it. Totally agree with you on this one.

Ange @ the Moonlight Reader
I've never read this one either! I tried but never succeeded!
It's great to see you back...
Are you going to post some honeymoon pics? :)
I have to admit that Cathy and Heathcliff were on the aggravating side. It is not one of my favourite classics either.
Happy weekend.
Hahahaha thanks. Yes I'll post some Honeymoon pictures, I'm actually working on a post now with pictures and commentary and stories.
Following back! I haven't read too many of the "classics" but my mom and I love watching all those movies... we saw this one and absolutely hated it. I have a feeling I wouldn't enjoy the book, even though I plan on attempting it at some point.
Oh wow, another Wuthering Heights. Wasn't expecting that! I wasn't a fan of the "classics" either.
Here's my Friday Hops
Have a GREAT weekend!!
Old Follower :)
I think I was lucky enough never to have been forced to read Wuthering Heights. My favorite classic is All Quiet on the Western Front. So boring!
New follower here! Happy Friday!
Book Brats!
New follower, thanks for the follow and blog visit. I am one of those that love Wuthering Heights, so we'll have to agree to disagree.
Have a great weekend!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
I found the characters in Wuthering Heights pretty frustrating, too.
Old follower hopping by. I never read Wuthering Heights because it sounds depressing and I loath to read depressing books! Your comments about it are funny:-)

I think I read this one a long time ago but it couldn't have been that good if I don't remember!
My Friday Follow
Hi there, new follower here, following you back! :)
I agree with you about Wuthering Heights, I could never get into it either; and not the movie either. Love your blog and have a great weekend!
I've NEVER had the desire to read this book and I'll keep that lack of want after seeing this.
LOL
Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm returning the follow. I've never been one to be fascinated with the classics. But in truth, I don't even remember this one!
Wuthering Heights has never really screamed read me at me, so I think I'll put off reading it a bit longer.
For classics, Romeo & Juliet nearly made me throw it in disgust, though I did manage to finish it. =)
Orchid
The Haunting of Orchid Forsythia
I haven't read it and after reading your comment not sure if I want to read it. I loved your comment about getting a badge of honor lol.
Happy Friday!
Following Back!! I was going to say the same thing, but i ended up just never finishing it. I had to read it for a book review for school and it was just too awful to keep going. I really thought i was going to like it too.
I have a copy of this but I've never dived into it. Maybe I'll stay away!
I haven’t finished this either, i don’t think it was because i didn’t like it, I got distracted by other books, and never got around to finishing it… Thanks for stopping by, I am following you back!
Book Savvy Babe
I read it a long time ago and I agree that the main characters can be very annoying. I'm following you back.
Happy reading!
Haven't read that book yet. I was trying to do a classic a month thing earlier this year, but I didn't last. lol
New follower! :)
Here's my follow friday and book blogger hop for this week.
♥ Sarah
I haven't read it - it's one of those classics that is on my reading-bucket-list but I just haven't gotten there yet!
Bonnie @ HandsAndHome
Saw the movie version, never read the book.
http://tributebooksmama.blogspot.com/2011/07/follow-friday.html
Wow... really? I've heard... well, that it's a great classic. But I haven't read it myself yet. :o
Thanks for stoping by my blog! I haven't read this book. I hear lots of mixed reviews about it. Following back :)
I haven't read Wuthering Heights yet but I have it on my shelf. I have to say I'm not looking forward to it but I feel as if I should read it since it's a classic. Thanks for stopping by my blog! Oh, I'm a new follower!
Thanks for stopping by my blog...returning the follow!
Have a great weekend,
Ems
Great choice. :) I haven't read this one, but I think it's true that people love it or hate it. The story just never sounded very appealing to me. Oh well.
Happy Friday!
kathy from Read This Instead
I didn't hate Wuthering Heights, but wasn't my favorite either. My sister really liked it.
Girl Who Reads
Hi! Just following back.
I haven't had time to read that classic yet. It's been near the end of my TBR pile for years. The last classic book I finished was Great Expectations which took me about three years to finish.
Have a great weekend!

http://rantsofaucg.blogspot.com/
I made it about 1/4 a way through Wuthering Heights, but never finished it. Some people love it, some don't!
Hahaha, you should feel proud of your wound, really! I still need to read that book but, you know what? Every time I'm about to grab it somehow my hand goes for another book xD
BTW, new follower here! This is my FF: http://www.librarianmouse.com/2011/07/feature-follow-friday-3.html Feel free to pass by and have a look.
Hugs,
Alaiel
I totally underestand what you're saying! lol..congrats for finishing it!
thanks for stopping by my blog and have a great weekend! =D
LOL! I tend to agree! Just stopping by. Following you from Feature & Follow Friday. Would love a visit and a follow back on my blog: http://blog.writerslairbooks.com. Thanks! Nice to meet you!
Well, this one wasn't my favorite either but at least the "idiots'" kids are a little better and redeem the book in my eyes. Way to go finishing it, though! It's hard, hard, hard when you're hating it.
I so love that you feel so strongly about what you read! I thought it was pretty good at the end, but the first 11 chapters killed me! New follower :)
Aww I love this book lol. But I hate lots of books people absolutely adore, so I know how you feel! <3
Thanks for stopping by my IMM!
The Violet Hour
New follower passing through.
Lol at your choice. While I didn't love this book, I didn't dislike it either. BUT I will say that if I read a contemporary book like that, I would throw it against the wall. I guess it gets a bit of a pass because it is a classic.
Thanks for stopping by. I'm ashamed to say that I have not read this book. I have heard the same things. You either love it or hate it. I'm sorry that it was the later for you.

@Ramblings From This Chick
Hi, Aimee! Thanks so much for stopping by -- I'm following you for sure! :)
I've heard a bunch about this book but I've never picked it up before because I'm not really a big fan of old classics (although I make an exception for Shakespeare and mythology). Guess it's a good thing that I never did! x)
Hope you have an awesome weekend! :)
Hopping through. I only read Wuthering Heights last year. There were a few really romantic moments, but mostly I thought both Heathcliff and Cathy were awful.
My Hop
Really? Wuthering Heights is one of my absolute favourites in classic literature.
New follower.
I little late! Sorry! But i'm glad I found you :) I love your blog. New follower. and im sorry about wuthering heights...i was supposed to read that for school but somehow our class got out of it!
Have a great weekend!

I've never read this book, though I have it on my Kindle taunting me! I've heard vastly contrasting opinions of it - as you say - swinging from love to hate. I love the adaptations though, so I imagine I'd enjoy the book. I guess I'll find out at some point.
I'm a new follower form the hop.;D
Shah ;D - Have a great weekend!

Ok - where is the follow bit? I 'liked' you on fb if that helps? Sorry. Perhaps its not loading - ive been having problems all day with one thing or another - so frustrating! Shah .x
You can hit follow at the top on the navi bar. I've had problems all weekend with GFC too.
Thanks for stopping by my blog & following (: I returned the gesture. I haven't read this book... even before your post I didn't want to, but I will probably have to sometime in the future. Have a great week!
-Katie
Thanks for stopping by at http://kafkatokindergarten.blogspot.com following you now
The GFC widget's malfunctioning, but I'm following you back now anyway thanks to the navigation bar. :)
I've never read Wuthering Heights, but it's on my Kindle (got it for freee!) I'll probably try reading it soon... not sure what to expect, as yours is one of a few recent negative reviews I've read, but then some people love it to death. Happy Friday! :)
Aimee- I couldn't agree more! Wuthering Heights was not romantic and was just kind of depressing! So many "classics" are just awful :/
Thanks for stopping by earlier! :)
I tried reading this when I was much younger and couldn't get through it but I am always curious to know what I would think of it now. I think because I vaguely remember how it reads I would still dislike it. I disliked the Great Gatsby when I was young to but I don't remember any of it. New Follower!
