Each night at precisely 4:33 am, while sixteen-year-old London Lane is asleep, her memory of that day is erased. In the morning, all she can "remember" are events from her future. London is used to relying on reminder notes and a trusted friend to get through the day, but things get complicated when a new boy at school enters the picture. Luke Henry is not someone you'd easily forget, yet try as she might, London can't find him in her memories of things to come.

When London starts experiencing disturbing flashbacks, or flash-forwards, as the case may be, she realizes it's time to learn about the past she keeps forgetting-before it destroys her future.

What I thought

After the first few chapters, this was really hard to put down. I was intrigued by this mystery scene that London kept seeing. The story was interesting. London can't remember her past, but can remember the future. This could have played out in so many ways, and it kept surprising me every time I thought I might have figured out just what it was that London was seeing.

Following London, almost in her footsteps (almost, because I remember what happened previously) was great. She's strong, not wanting anyone outside of her mom and best friend to know that she forgets everything that happens in the middle of the night. She's got her own ways to give herself clues about what happens to fool everyone. I really liked reading about London. She was a character that will be hard to forget.

This reminded me of a much better version of 50 First Dates. Forgotten has a bit of romance to it and it's very sweet. I loved watching London try to remember Luke and trying to remember every thing that happens when they hang out. It was endearing. But also, along with the romance, the mystery of the memory was what fueled the story. It was very well done. The romance and mystery blended so well, both played an important part in the story.

Forgotten was a fantastic read. Definitely should be on your most wanted list. Highly imaginative story that will keep you glued to the pages!

I've heard such amazing things about this novel. I can't wait to read it. I wonder though how she gets through school if she forget everything from the day before? Studying must be brutal for her.

Yay! I'm so glad you really liked it! That would have sucked if I'd picked you up a signed copy and you didn't like it but I didn't even consider you wouldn't, I guess. I just loved this book and am so glad you did too!
