What I thought
I liked the idea behind this book and lost myself in it for the first half. But it was getting to the second half where I started to lose a bit of interest. I really do like Jane Austen type novels. I love remakes of the same kind of story. I'm just a Jane Austen fan. What drug this novel down was that it was too close to the original. I liked the struggle for the characters to come together, their pride getting in the way. Let's face it, that's what makes the original and others like it so much fun. I would have liked to see a bit more changed, not so much trying to be just like the original.
I haven't sworn off the series though. I'm going to give the next one a try and see how I like it. I've read the titles for the other ones to come and it sounds like we might get to see some of the same characters from this, which should be interesting.
